If you are required to apply for planning permission you will need to use either a Householder form (domestic extensions, garages, conservatories etc) or a Non-Householder form (Outline proposals, reserved matters, erection of dwellings, industrial/commercial development). You will be able to get these from your local council.
Usually you will require four completed sets of Householder forms are required and five for the Non-Householder form, together with the relevant certificate of ownership and the appropriate fee should be submitted to your councils Planning Department.Alternatively, you could use the Planning Portal to submit your planning application. Non-Householder application form Guide Design and Access Statements Guidance Notes for Applicants/AgentsThe Council should acknowledge your application within a few days. Your application will then be placed on the Planning Register which is available for inspection by any interested member of the public at the councils offices during normal office hours.
